Toronto Organ Club
ABOUT US

Welcome to our Toronto Organ Club Web Site
We are people that love music, especially when its played on the organ.
Our concerts showcase a wide variety of music types and artists.

Our Mission
Our desire is to promote a recovery of the number of people that love hearing the organ. Over the years, the popularity of the organ has waned, mainly we believe due to the promotion of cheap substitutes; video games, etc. Young people just don't understand the power and the design efforts that went into the building of these instruments. We want to bring back a love for the "King of Instruments", and increase the number of people that will take up playing it.

Club Profile
We are a collection of people from a wide diversity of backgrounds, but, we all have one thing in common: our love of the organ. Some of us don't play the organ very well; some of us don't play at all (don't worry, you won't have to listen to us play); but some of us play very well. We even have one organist who is "world-class". You'll love hearing him!

Our good friend, Fred Oystrick,
passed away on August 30, 2010.

An executive of the Toronto Organ Club with an exceptional gift of being able to fix anything by just looking, will be missed. He will be remembered and loved by those of us who were fortunate enough to know him.
