Phil
LaPenna
Well
known organist Phil LaPenna is now enjoying retirement from
a busy career as a professional musician. Phil's career spans
many years as a recording, television and concert artist. A
musician of unusual diversity, his activities have covered
adjududicating, music director in churches and in the secular
field. Staff organist for Hammond international,the Toronto
MapleLeafs ,recitalist, clinician and orchestral conductor,teacher
and consultant are some of the roles he's played in the wide
spectrum of music both choral and instrumental. In the early
70's he played a concert tour in the U.K. for the Baldwin Organ
Company.
In the late 50s, Phil was doing up to 5 shows a week on the C.B.C.,
appearing with people like Tommy Hunter, Johnny Cash, Hank Snow
and many others as well as doing many guest appearances.
